Granite Mountain Hotshots

Fourth Anniversary N7GMH Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Special Event – June 30, 2017

On June 30  we will again be operating as N7GMH in honor of the Granite Mountain Hotshots from the Club Station from 0900 until 1700.
In addition, club members are encouraged to operate from their home stations as well, with the caveat that home station operation be coordinated with KV8TD in real time at 928 273 2887 or pre-event at w6nhx@aol.com to prevent having more than one station on a band at any one time. I will maintain a real time schedule, but please contact me ahead of time if possible with your desired operating period.
Home station operation is further encouraged outside of the 0900 / 1700 time period. Please send your logs to Don, WB7TPH who again this year will be our QSL manager, and please keep the logs in GMT time.

The Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Radio Club operated a special event to remember the 19 firefighters who lost their battle with the Yarnell Hill fire on June 30, 2013. A station was set up at the Jeep Posse building at 1200 Commerce Drive in Prescott, with Doug, KV8TD as the main operator.  Other members operated N7GMH from the club station or from their home stations.  Thanks to Jim, N6KZ for bringing the equipment and antenna and setting up the station.
